I step: TEAM PROJECT AND RULES I f we want to use media to take positive steps in intercultural education then, first of all must engage in the process of communication. Appointment for establish the team and the rules - 10 January, 2008 Generating ideas Stage in preparation during which we were approach the topic and tried to generate and organize ideas and examples related to the topic. For the first time we were concerned more on quantity of ideas rather than their quality. II step: RESEARCHING All student made their own research on internet, related to topic, colecting dates and selected the most important for the final site. JANUARY till MIDDLE OF FEBRUARY, 2008 The process of researching and collecting evidence involved the following steps: - Identifying the areas where more information needs to be found statistics, specific facts, data, views and opinions. - Identifying sources of information: brainstorming ideas on where the important information can be found. If it is better to look for the information on internet or visit a local library; - Reading and identifying the information that support our intend (most useful paragraphs, sections and quotes) - Evaluating the information, analysing the information in the text, applying critical thinking skills and deciding whether the information is relevant for our case. - Recording the evidences, on tape and camera. III step: Developing the project Once we had researched the topic and collected the dates, we established the tasks and division of tasks, taking in consideration the roles and the responsibilities of each member, related to activities that we had to do, also the resources and tools that we have to use. 1.media activities: a. Watching the movie The true story of Dracula on projector in class. b . Exploring the notions that we have seen and heard in video; c. Asses what is their opinion and what they intend to do, analysing in the same time techniques (camera, sound, background, editing) d. Description of the future video related to our topic (location, interviewers questions, actors, what else) e. Photo session in the town to collect pictures and short videos of the sites. 2.survey activities: a. Putting on blog a questionnaire and making publicity ( on messenger status, or personal blogs) and ask friends and relatives to express their opinion. b. Interviews on street (whispers of the street) c. Reporting (Alexandra, Denise, Diana) Questions: -What is symbolising Dracula for you? -Do you think it is related to the real historical figure of Vlad Tepes? -Have you met once a vampire? (true of false question) d. statistics e. conclusion 3.internet activities: - Researching the topic and collect dates - Making a web page, find a cheap hosting and find out the way we can use it efficiently. - Making a blog for linking on web side. - Editing the video using Ulead video studio software - Collecting pictures and sound for using in our work - Upload and Share the video on internet, using YouTube hosting and make publicity for our work (personal blogs and messenger status, also announcing within the schools specific appointments.
